Ep. 82 – We’re Back

We’re back. After a couple of years, we’ve gotten the band back together. Well, we just decided to be in the same room with one another and do this nonsense again.

In this episode we talk about our absence, movies from the 2000s, me getting fucked on my bed and a whole lot of other nonsense.

You know the deal.

Ep. 76 – The Road Trip

I suppose the news of our demise was premature. We’re back, and we took this podcast on the road. Well, we were up in Santa Barbara for a memorial service of a friend and decided that we’ll record something while driving. You’ll note that with me driving, there were no accidents!!!

In this, we talk about my actual road trip, a lot of tv, why super hero movies are awful and more. The episode opens with Ritual Howl’s “Coils and Magnets” and ends with Milemarker’s “Conditional Love.”

Ep. 58 – Fuck Walter White

Another week, another free-form conversation between the two of us. It’s a bit all over the place, but if you know the two of us it should come as no surprise. We ramble about the end of Jimmy’s existential crisis, Breaking Bad, how awful Walter White is, spooging over Hannibal, Interior. Leather Bar, the smashing Chase Utley era of the Dodgers, the expression “shit the bed,” political correctness run amok and we end with a tiff.

The podcast starts with PJ Harvey’s “Hardly Wait” and ends with Cream Abdul Babar’s “Cocaine Pinata.”

Ep. 47 – Psy Fi and Sports

Things happened last week. Brendan couldn’t record last Saturday, and Jimmy’s grandmother was too sick for Jimmy to leave the house.

– Brendan loves his herbal Italian liqueurs, and Jimmy has awful hangover prevention measures.
– Brendan liked the movie In and Out. Jimmy misses Shalom Harlow and the era of the supermodels.
– Jimmy doesn’t understand the appeal of superheros.
– Jimmy also doesn’t understand why people are obsessed with Star Wars and thinks Barbarella is a much better movie.
– Manny Ramirez laced a drink with Viagra back in the 2004 Red Sox playoff run. It worked.
– Brendan wanted to talk about Mayweather-Pacquiao. Jimmy talked about every other sports event instead.
– Jimmy gloated over Chelsea clinching the Premier League title. We segued into talking about High Fidelity.
– We’re going to start an advice segment!!!!!! Email us your questions!!!!!

The podcast starts with KMFDM’s “Son of a Gun” and ends with Belle and Sebastian’s “Piazza, New York Catcher”.

Sssssssh. We’re Hibernating.

After 30 episodes, we’re going to take a two-week break. Actually the real reason is that we tried using Skype and Google Hangouts to record an episode yesterday, and the audio is unusable. That and Brendan is escaping this cesspool next weekend.

We’ll be recording a brand new episode in two weeks to unleash our own special brand of hell upon the unwitting public.

Ep. 24 – Ebola and Anal Leakage

It’s been two weeks, but here’s the new podcast. We talk about:

– Apologies for no podcast last week. It was shit.
– Jimmy has apparently caught Ebola. We talked about the hysteria behind it.
– How we first met.
– Brendan has been working for his money, and we talk sex toys like the Tantus Pelt paddle. What else is new?
– Wolf Dicks, Brendan’s half-assed SVU segment.
– Jimmy expands on what he would do if he were the baseball commissioner

We opened the podcast with Shellac’s “You Came In Me” off their new album Dude Incredible and ended with Mariah Carey’s “Love Takes Time”. Early in the podcast you’ll also catch a snippet of Antonio Carlos Jobim’s “Insensatez” from the Lost Highway soundtrack.

Ep. 21 – Tales of Haunted Ass Toys

We didn’t get into everything we wanted to talk about, but that’s all right. The songs played were PJ Harvey’s “Man Sized” and Trust’s “Geryon”. We talked about:

– Jimmy is tired from waking up early and watching Chelsea draw with Manchester City
– Brendan is wrong about when Bjork’s Homogenic was released.
– Jimmy’s haunted vibrating butt plug.
– New marvels in vibrating sex toy technology!
– Brendan thinks Jimmy’s sphincter is really tight.
– Brendan doesn’t know how to use his sex toys.
– Jimmy teaching baseball writers about gloryholes and drugs.
– Is the current generation really boring and dull?
– The horrors of discovering blog entries from 1999.
– Jimmy loves shame.
– How Brendan became a vegetarian.
– Jimmy misses smoking.
– Brendan doesn’t have hemorrhoids anymore!
– Jimmy loses a thought.
– Brendan’s review of Grand Budapest Hotel.
Twin Peaks spoilers.
– Rebirth of motorcycle gangs?
– SVU segments in future podcasts?
– Should Jimmy do a car chase recap blog?
– NFL blah blah blah.

Ep. 16 – Dick Taps and Diarrhea

Apologies for no podcast last week. Jimmy had familial moving obligations, and Brendan had nerdy obligations. We were thinking about Skyping a podcast in the middle of the week, but poor Brendan got sicky wicky. So here we are

The music selections in this podcast are Laibach’s “Resistance Is Futile” off their recent album Spectre and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult’s “Sex Witch” which is also off their recent album Spooky Tricks.

In this episode we talk about:

– Dick Taps as a form of greeting amongst straight jocks
– Brendan attending a Dodger game
– John Waters movies
– Tim Burton movies
– Why Jimmy hates Brad Pitt
– Other nonsense.

B&J Podcast Ep. 15 – The Fuck the NFL, ESPN and Hemorrhoids Episode

There are a lot of fuck ups in this episode. For one, I refer to this as our 14th episode in the opening. Oops. Then later on we talk about the MLB All Star Game that ended in a tie. I mistakenly referred to it as having occurred in 2003 at PNC Park in Pittsburgh ending in the 14th inning. It actually happened in 2002 at Miller Park in Milwaukee and ended in the 11th inning. Sorry.

The podcast opened with Bikini Kill’s “Rebel Girl” and ends with Fifth Column’s “All Women Are Bitches”. We talked about:

* The NFL’s laughable punishment to Ray Rice for knocking out his fiance-cum-wife earlier this year.
* ESPN, and more specifically Stephen A. Smith’s, victim blaming.
* WEEI and their misogynist remarks about Erin Andrews.
* A lot of me just so apoplectic beyond words.
* My hemmorhoid.
* Me filming myself masturbating.
* Kinks we can’t handle.
* Bruce La Bruce.

B&J Podcast Ep. 13 – Lucky Hole

Jimmy and Brendan

This podcast marks the return of sound effects!!! I apologize that they tend to drown out some the words we say, but most of our words are rubbish anyway. I will make sure to fix that in the next podcast.

This episode showcases my love for Courtney Love and Hole. The opening song is “Asking for It” with Kurt Cobain doing duet duties. The closing song is “Turpentine”, one of the first songs Hole wrote and recorded.

We talk about:

* The Tata Tops – bikini tops that look like exposed breasts
* Israel v. Palestine
* The Emmys
* The problem with Aaron Sorkin
* LeBron James
* The 35th anniversary of Disco Demolition Night and House music.
* Brendan’s newsletter
